« Le Caussou du Poussanet » began a long time ago and, as for every story, it began with… Once upon a time, the municipal guard or guardsman, a microphone and loud speakers on the roof of the Town Hall and the church tower. In this small bucolic village of Languedoc, you could hear first a little sizzling which awoke the population inciting them to be ready to listen.

And today we can still hear “Allo allo….”. “Le Caussou du Poussanet” was born opposite “the Bascule”.

But do you know what it is… Do you know it… Marie-Rose ?

And we could answer you that… « Le Caussou du Poussanet » is an association (according to the 1911 Law) which is going to become the modern municipal guard, in reference to this unforgettable character the Caussou was. Its aim is to create a written and computer basis to inform, communicate and express oneself. Its purpose will be to make the town of Poussan known and appreciated.

Our association is and will have to remain an open community which can evolve, which is made up of voluntary and independent passionate people and which is entirely devoted to information, communication and expression through the new technologies (internet, audio, paper…) Its second goal is to initiate, inform and improve the knowledge of the members of the web. This association is in partnership with the site: Poussan.com.

The nature of the information comes from the members of the association who are volunteer and interested and it will have to be approved of by the board who is responsible for its broadcasting (this means control, not censorship). The internet is a means of communication and information. It’ll try to satisfy the inhabitants and lovers of Poussan’ s need for information. And why not, tomorrow, the project of a web radio or a web TV for the news, interviews and so on. Ethical and deontological respect will be necessary to give a good image of our village and of its inhabitants to the whole world… through the net.

The association “Le Caussou du Poussanet” will become a sort of library. Thanks to various and numerous columnists and writers who will try to take part in Poussan history and in the web. You, children, teachers, newly arrived or village elders, writers will be able to give or find the information or topic you are interested in. Maybe one day, our children and grand-children will be able to read what we have written and go on doing what we have done, giving more and more information.

Le Caussou du Poussanet is your association and will only live by you, for you and thanks to you. Le Caussou du Poussanet is also a way of exchanging, meeting friends of the web who can leave their keyboards for friendly days. You’ll always be welcome to this association to share what you know, what you remember, what you plan to do… if you are ready to respect other people. And as in good stories that ends well, we’ll be able to say: “they got married and had many children…”
